Sooooooo our poor, sweet, dumb, dumb cat managed to get out of the house again this morning.

And then immediately proceeded to break a leg.

Currently waiting for the radiologist to get to check his X-ray. Nobody's said anything about amputating, but… I guess we'll see.

Well. There are plenty of very happy three-legged cats in the world. I guess the silver lining, if there is one, is that this might finally temper his wanderlust. And we might be able to put things on the top of those massive bookshelves again without worrying about him knocking them over.

… Just another slice of my life that I wish I could share with you. Though, once the outcome is more certain and he's home, I'll be doing a post about it. Which I guess counts for a little bit. A very little bit. But I'll take every last little bit that I can.

Update: Not a fracture! I could have sworn that leg was bent in a way that it definitely shouldn't be, in a place it definitely shouldn't bend at all… but I guess cats are flexible… He does still have a lot of pain and needs to be treated, but… Once again, things ended up being not quite as dire as they first seemed.
